Well, December is here and I wonder how Fall escaped so quickly. Tomorrow is another upline meeting with other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and I am sure our creative leader Rachel Tessman is planning lots of creative fun. Check out the card we made last month at our demonstrator meeting, it is perfect for this Holiday season.
Rachel designed this fun Winter card. All Stampin' Up! supplies used and the embossing folder technique was to use a brayer and add color to the smooth side of paper so the indentation of the white paper stays white.
Stay warm and stamp. Happy Stamping -April

Layer Wow
Always inspired by others. I found this layout in a blog I follow and fell in love. Think of it this way, when someone is inspired by your work and is compelled to case your project, you are receiving a gift - a compliment. I did not have all the accessories in the original creator's design, so I made some adjustments. The fun part of this card was creating with multiple layers, they give the card elegance.
Let's be thankful for everyone that influences us in our lives.

On A Snowy Day...
I decided to share something with a hint of Spring.
I created this card during my recent girls weekend with T-n-T. My goal was to use retired ribbons, papers and accessoris; so you will notice on recent and soon to be posts I will note the retire itms used. I liked this color combination, fresh and simple. I also used craft ink to color the pretties kit flower and the bitty buttons added some "pop" to the design.
Stampin' Up! supplies used: Paper-So Saffron, Whisper White, Retired Hostess DSP paper; Ink-So Saffron, Basic Gray, So Saffron Craft Ink; Accessories-Clear Bitty Buttons and Retired So Saffron Ribbon and Pretties Kit Flower.

Back in the groove...
I'm back! Well, I never really left. I have been so busy with everything that events and time took over.
I wanted to start by sharing a great Halloween card made by my friend, Tonya. However, I gave the card to a new neighbor before taking a picture. I am so bummed - she did a great job and tried a new technique.
So today I am sharing a card I made using a retired color from Stampin' Up! I was never a fan of Cameo Coral and had a ton of paper in this color. So I challenged myself and created this card and I love it!
All Stampin' Up! products: Paper-Cameo Coral, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White; Ink-Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake. Accessories-Hemp Twine; Tools-Square Lattice Embossing Folder, sponge daubers.
The picture makes Cameo Coral look more pink, but it really is coral. The lattice embossing folder gave Cameo Coral depth that added to the color (again I'm not a coral fan, but this turned out great).
I hope everyone comes back to visit, sorry I have been away.

Birding Elegance
I love this layout. My friend Tricia created a card with this layout and I decided to use her inspiration and create this card using retired "in colors" and specialty papers. The stamp set is a current Stampin' Up! Hostess set, Wings of Friendship.
I really liked how the a stamped image appeared on the specialty paper since the paper has a shine a texture. Stampin' Up! currently has some specialty paper that would be fun to use with this layout.
Here is the inside of the card; just enough detail to complete the layout. Thanks Tricia for a great layout.

Iceberg Cutie
I wanted to create a not so traditional Holiday card for a swap and used this cutie brought it all together. All Stampin' Up! supplies used. Paper- "incolors" melon mabo and bermuda bay and whisper white; accessories- polka dot grosgrain ribbon and clear rhinestone brad; tools- word window punch, circle scissor plus and big shot with texturz plate. The stamp set is Cold & Cudly from the Stampin' Up! 2009 Holiday Mini.
Sponging around the circle makes this guy's ice berg really stand out.

Winter Brrrrr.....It's Cold Out There!
Happy New Year everyone! It has been awhile since I have posted. Fall and the Holidays took over and now it is a new year. I think one of my "goals" (not resolutions) should be to post more regularly!
This is the Winter version to my previous posts. All Stampin' Up! materials, incolors and white gel pen.
Using the gel pen as an outline on the tree gives the "snow" illusion and to the touch is slightly raised. A fun and easy technique. Give it a try!
Happy Stamping 2010!

Happy Halloween
I would like to share a GREAT Halloween card I received this month. This card was created by my friend Renee. Renee is a scrapbooker. Since she purchased Stampin' Up!'s photo corner punch, I sent her this idea last year for a spider and legs (I saw the idea on another stampers blog, but can't remember where and who). Well, we were talking about it in September and she told me how she made a spider etc and I told her to make me a card. Here it is.......
Isn't it great! I love it. This is her first card and it is great.
She even got creative and used dental floss for the spider's drop down web!
Awesome Renee!
Happy Stamping!
