World Card Making Day & Open House

I am getting ready for my Fall Open House and World Card Making Day Inspirations.

Guests are invited to "Trick or Treat" for some CARD CANDY! Actually guests will make their card/scrapbooking candy. Here is the card candy we will make and guests will take home to use on a card, scrapbook page or gift/decoration. Clean and simple with a fall flair; easy for the beginner, yet unique for the advanced. Some of our new ribbon or clips will add a wow factor!

Card Candy Recipe: 3x3 Chocolate Chip; 2x2 Tangerine Tango, 1/2x2 Wisper White; Stamped image on Whisper White with Pacific Point ink; Summer Sun marker.

Stampin' Up! Convetion 3D Gifts and Swaps

As I mentioned, I made gifts for T-n-T that they got to open every 300 miles on our way to convention in Utah. Here is a photo of the gifts. The box is a note card box and contained a set of my swaps; a "sour cream" container made with DSP paper; a modified journal; the yellow container is for sweet treats; the green square is a "5" gum container covered and decorated; and a milk carton pattern box. It was fun to make the gifts and a great way to create items to display for their customers.

Here are my swaps - Embrace Life, Winds of Grace, and Fresh Notes. I made a fourth swap but forgot to keep a sample for myself!

Welcome to my blog!

My blog is still under construction, but I thought I would get started. Where do I begin?

A little bit about me - I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in the late 90's and with children and a career, there just wasn't enough time for my customers. Now over ten years later, my friend and upline inspired me to become a demonstrator again. Thanks Tricia! I am now a demonstrator with my two best friends - Hey Tonya. I may reference them in the future as T-n-T and their personalities are full of Dyn-o-mite!

I attended my first convention this past August and WOW I was impressed with Stampin' Up!'s classes, demonstrations, displays and a well organized funtion. We traveled from MN to UT by car and had a great time with "BS" our traveling buddy (pictures to be posted later).

Here I am with T-n-T (left to right): Tonya, April and Tricia. I had a great time card swaping, watching all the activity, attending classes and make-n-takes. I surprised my travelmates with gifts every 300 miles. They were just like kids asking "has it been 300 miles yet?" It was fun making the gifts that they can use as samples for their friends and customers (look for pictures to be posted later).

Here I am with Ronald (he is really tall!). This year Stampin' Up! will donate $2 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities for every "Say It With Scallops" stamp set sold. Ronald was at convention to be presented with a donation check.

I hope you will come back and visit. In fact, sign up for google reader and add this blog to receive notificiations of new posts.
