A blog I follow is by Michelle Zindorf, her link is listed below. Michelle has beautiful creations using brayer techniques. Many of you know how much I love my brayer, especially when I use it to apply extra pressure to make sure adhesives stick well. Well, I have wanted to try some of Michelle's ideas out and was inspired to create the above card. Very similar to Michelle's, however, I stamped by tree last with in basic brown. This was a lot of fun! Tonya and I are going to check to see if her brayer workshop coming to MN is still taking registrations...there are always new things to learn!

The Stamping Groove

I got to stamp with Tonya on Sunday! I have been so busy lately and needed to find my stamping groove. I was inspired to create this card after viewing a creation on the blog listed below "My Favorite Things". This is a color combination that I wouldn't have tried; all Stampin' Up! products - paper baja breeze, old olive, whisper white - ribbon old olive - ink baja breeze, old olive.

I had fun with Tonya's new scallop circle die and big shot. The color combination was baja breeze and tangerine tango; again all products are Stampin' Up!
Both cards sure made the day feel like spring was here...the sun was out....and now snow tonight, Yikes!

Lunch Box Tin - Card Gift Set

I have wanted to make one of these for a long time. Finally! Stampin' Up! products: Paper-DSP, Old Olive, Not Quite Navy; Ribbons-Old Olive, Bashful Blue; Chipboard letter; Ink-Not Quite Navy. I used a flower punch and some paper flower emblishment that are not Stampin' Up! products.
The tin is from Joanne's (of course I used a coupon). This was so much fun and turned out so cute.
I filled with all sorts of cards and gave to a special someone. She loved it!
Here is the top of the tin.
I now have a list of people that I will be creating these gifts for.

Valentine Heart Box

What could be more yummy! Decorate a heart box and fill with chocolates for a special person.

I used two different kinds of boxes. The first is a paper mache heart shaped box decorated using Stampin' Up! products.

Paper-baroque burgandy, regal rose, and raspberry tart DSP paper; embelishments-rose red felt flower, prettie's kit flowers; dazzling diamonds glitter

This was my favorite because I can fill with my favorite chocolates.

The second box was a box of Russel chocolates. I like the paper mache boxes much better, since you really don't know what flavor of chocolates you will be giving

Here is a side view. When you purchase the paper mache boxes, try taking the lid off a couple of times. Some boxes have a tighter fit and you will want one that has a little looser fit because you will be adding a layer of paper to the box.

This last one was my favorite. All Stampin' Up! products: paper-regal rose, baroque burgandy, raspberry tart DSP paper; emblishments-rose red ribbon, miniture library clip, dazzling diamonds glitter.

These were fun to create and inexpensive!

Stamp some love today!

Silent Auction Box of Cards

Grab a 8x8 paper mache box and stamp. I decorated this box to hold 80 cards for a silent auction at my church. I made two of these by stamping, decorating with water color pencils and added sparkle using stickles. LOVE STICKLES!
These would make great gifts!
Stamp in the warmth!

Decorating Tins

A few years ago a sweet person gave me some international coffee tins to be used for a project with kids...(thanks Sharon!). Well, I was organizing my basement and found them. I had brought them home to come up with a project and they were put into a box and forgotten.
So I started decorating last Friday (STAMP DAY!). Several have a winter theme and ready for some yummy chocolates. Some are just general to have ready for a quick chocolate or candy gift. Lots of fun and easy! I can't wait to share them.

Friday Stamping Day!

Friday was a stamping day with T-n-T! Check out these journals that Tonya made for her daughters, they turned out AWESOME!
The first page was made into a pocket page
The last page was made into a pocket also and then using the top note die cut, Tonya made a signature plate to write a note and sign.

Here is the second journal...
Rub ons, felt flowers and pearls from prettie's kit

...another pocket and signature plate.

These are great for girls (and women) of all ages! Create one today!

100 Visitors!

Thanks for visiting my blog. The counter has reached 100; how exciting!

Fresh Cut Notecards

I pulled out my Stampin' Up! Fresh-Cut Notes and my Fresh-Cut Stamp set and started creating. I haven't used these notecards or stamp set for a while; funny how it snowed a little later in the day after creating some floral flair!

The last one above didn't download very well. The colors are real red and pretty in pink.

Stay warm by stamping and paper crafting this season!

Card Cluster

Have you ever been inspired by another stampers creation and sat down to make a card or two similar? After your done, you think "okay ready to move on" but you have all these good scraps.

Set a goal and make all sorts of cards until you have used all your scraps! These are my creations....

My initial inspiration came from a card I saw on Stamp Your Heart Out (a link to her blog is listed to the left). The placement of the ribbon and bow caught my eye.

The recipe for all cards using Stampin' Up! Products: Cardstock-Whisper White, Old Olive, Really Rust, Always Artichoke DSP paper; Punch- Scallop circle; 1" circle; Ribbon- Old Olive 5/8 grosgrain; Ink-Old Olive, Really Rust; Chalk-Really Rust. The stamp is from a retired Stampin' Up! set.

I then just started creating by changing the placement of paper and colors and layering. Not only did I make "regular" size cards, but I cranked out some 3x3 cards.

I had a lot of fun and use all my scraps except for just a partial piece of Whisper White and Old Olive and when you are done you have a great assortment for yourself or to give as a gift.

HAPPY STAMPING!
